Resco releases Resco Audio for .NET CF Beta

Resco has just released the Beta version of their new Resco Audio libray for the .NET Compact Framework. The download is free but the use license is valid for testing purposes only.

The Resco Audio library allows the developers to record and play music and sound files in different file formats. The supported file formats include .ogg, .wav, .raf, .spx. The full version will also include .mp3 support.

More sophisticated features include setting the parameters of the encoder like sampling rate, bits per sample, number of channels, etc. One can even use the built-in encoders and decoders to convert the audio data among the supported audio formats.

Resco Releases AdvancedTree .NET

Resco has just released a new tree component for .NET Compact Framework applications: Resco AdvancedTree .NET. Besides being sold as astandalone product, Resco is bundling the new component in the Resco MobileForms Toolkit.

Resco AdvancedTree .NET is a control able to display a tree of data. Each node is displayed using a pre-designed NodeTemplate that can display text, links or images. Supports the DelayLoad functionality which can be utilized to display large amounts of data in a short time. Strong Visual Studio Designer support is already a standard of Resco controls. The control is fully optimized for tricky environment of mobile devices.

OpenNETCF Community

OpenNETCF Consulting has just launched a new community website especially targeted to .NET Compact Framework developers. This new community web site publishes technical articles on .NET CF and will soon have a Forum and a Wiki.

We provide interactive Forums for the discussion of not just OpenNETCF libraries, but for the discussion of Windows Embedded development in general. A large wealth of knowlege already exists in our current Forums and we will be working to migrate that information here in a sensible way.

Resco Releases Resco MobileCalendar DevKit

Resco has just released a new charting component for .NET Compact Framework applications: Resco CompactChart .NET. Besides being sold as astandalone product, Resco is bundling the new component in the Resco MobileForms Toolkit and Resco MobileApp Developer Pack suites.

Resco CompactChart .NET supports five chart types: Pie, Bar, Line, Doughnut and Area. The control has a comprehensive Visual Studio Designer support and its run-time layout is optimized for small displays of mobile devices, using features such as tap-and-hold tooltips to save space on mobile forms.
